Welcome to Tomorrow’s Ghosts Festival

Halloween Gathering Update…

Come and join us again as we celebrate the darker side of life! So it begins, the long and winding road back to Whitby to see our friends and experience great music, creativity & culture

We proudly return to Whitby following a fantastic 2023, we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. We asked ourselves how do we top that line up, so we took some time and decided we need new blood on the bill with some great new talent who are embracing what we all love. We did have some bumps along the way with bands departing this mortal coil and unavailable to perform, those secrets will go the grave with us, but we moved on

We are very proudly still partnering with the amazing Sophie Lancaster Foundation, please support them in their work, we must not forget that the world is still sadly a place filled with hate and intolerance.

So what do we have lined up for 2024?

First up on Friday we have a headliner making their debut in Whitby, a band who’ve been chameleon like in their reinvention over recent years and a band that at the end of 2023 were selling out major UK venues and winning Kerrang and Metal Hammer acoldates for the album of the year. We bring you Creeper. We’re so excited they’re coming to Whitby, we think this is going to be like Meatloaf vs the Sisters (think Vision Thing) vs Jim Steinman!

Our Special Guests to Creeper are a band we think are going to be huge within the next 12 months; so we asked them to come back and play for us again. No other band got so much dark love thrown at them from our wonderful audience as they did when they played for us in April 2023. The response was literally out of this world, off the scale so IST IST are back. They will have a new album out in the autumn and a major tour of the UK & Europe completed before landing back at TGF.

We had to wait a while to bring these legends back to Whitby, but we can look forward to welcoming the Skeletal Family to TGF. Playing to great crowds across the world following the release of a brilliant album, “Light from The Dark’ in April 2023 they come to Whitby to play you key tracks from that as well as the songs we all know and love

Opening Friday night’s shenanigans are the world’s finest cinematic goth band, The Gospel. You will have to believe us when we tell you these are something special. Landing somewhere between Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Goldfrapp they will blow your mind, their next single is a cover of Like a Prayer by Madonna, seriously. This is going to be a huge moment for them, us, and you. Don’t miss it

The Friday clearly promises a broad range of musical styles and influences before we event get to Saturday

What could we do on Saturday to raise the bar. Well we’ve bought back someone who is without doubt a living legend to celebrate a legendary band. Hooky stepped into the breach a few years ago for TGF when the pandemic caused us programming problems, but we’ve always wanted to bring Peter Hook & The Light back to truly celebrate Joy Division, so they are playing for us the seminal albums Closer & Unknown Pleasures as a festival exclusive for 2024. We’re sure there will be a few other tracks, but this will be a long set filled with truly great moments for us to enjoy performed by one of the best live bands around right now

Our very special guests for Saturday will be announced on Friday March 8th at 4pm.

We have the wonderful Then Comes Silence flying in from Sweden to make their TGF debut & we know this is going to be great, brilliant and powerful live we think if you’ve not seem them before you are in for a goth & post punk Halloween treat

Opening Saturday’s black celebrations are the wonderful post punk goth Black Doldrums, a band we’ve wanted to bring to Whitby for ages, their intense live shows are a thing to behold and this will be a powerful opening to what we think will be a legendary night at TGF

We are delighted to confirm that our Alternate & Gothic market taking place in the Exhibition Hall is already 90% sold out with brilliant and varied traders and you can all enjoy them from 10:00 on Friday November 1st through to Sunday November 3rd at 17:00. Remember entry is free to the market
